About James Burns
Photographer James Burns at work © David Toyne I developed an interest in photography at an early age and have now been capturing and selling fine art landscape images for several years. Since my childhood in the Peak District and through my adult years in Northumberland, I have been inspired by dramatic landscapes, human emotions and the interplay of light and texture.
I am also an ardent supporter of the "Passionate About The North East" campaign, and I aim to capture the area's beauty for as many people as I can.
Aside from my love of the land I also have an interest in the architectural image. Specifically the quirky, gothic and abandoned. A recent project has seen me photographing a range of decaying buildings that have been lost to the ravages of time. It is hoped that an exhibition of these images will shortly be shown around a number of North East galleries.
I currently reside in No Place, which in reality is a small village in County Durham.

In the unlikely event of anyone wishing to send fan mail, James would prefer any letters to be written in invisible ink on the reverse of unmarked, English banknotes.
